As we continue down the journey of the Covid - 19 pandemic, I want to update you on what we have been working on in preparation for the 2020-2021 school year. I know everyone would like some concrete answers about what next fall will look like; however, as many of you know the guidance from Governor DeWine was just released yesterday. Guidance documents are attached to this article. At the present time, we continue to ask for patience. We hope to present a plan mid July after we have worked through the guidance Governor DeWine provided yesterday. We have been gathering information and have multiple tentative plans on the drawing board; however, we now need to finalize our local details in collaboration with the county health department.
There may be other districts who released their plans to their community and staff before us. However, I am confident that ours will be well thought out and tailored to our needs. This is not a race to “get it done,” but a journey to put together the best plan we can.
I realize this message is not filled with the kind of concrete answers many of you would like; however, we want you to know that we are working to have students return to classroom in August if at all possible.
Have a safe and joyous Fourth of July Weekend!
